APC candidates in Kaduna State optimistic of victory at the polls

After a one week postponement of the earlier scheduled February 16 election due to logistic issues, the election finally took place on the 23rd February, 2019. By 6am, some people were already in their polling unit awaiting the arrival of INEC officials and materials.
In some of the polling units in Zaria and Sarbon Gari area of Kaduna State, the turnout was impressive but was somehow marred by the late arrival of officials. In some places, the materials did not arrive until 10am-10-30.
In an interview member representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, in his polling unit in Girls Secondary School, Dogon bauchi, he commended INEC and expressed happiness on the peaceful conduct of the election. he was also optimistic of APC’s victory in Kaduna State.
In the same vein, the Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly Aminu Abdullahi Shagali urged the people of Kaduna State, to remain peaceful and law abiding.he expressed concern over the late arrival of materials in some areas.
In Zaria, the PDP’s house of representatives candidate, Ahmed Abdu Zaria expressed dismay over late arrival of materials in some area. He was optimistic of his victory.
The Eze Ndi igbo of Sarbon gari urged the kaduna state people to remain peaceful and law abiding and was impessed with the large turnout of people.
Hon Tajudeen Abbas, member representing Zaria federal constituency, Kaduna State enjoyed his supporters to remain peaceful and law abiding no matter the outcome of the election.
