Another Professor kidnapped in Yola
Kayode Shogbesan, a Professor of Fishery at the Moddibo AdamaUniversity of Technology (MAUTECH), Kayode Shogbesan has been kidnapped.
Kayode Shogbesan is the third professor in three months that would fall into the hands of kidnappers from MAUTECH.
A family source said Wednesday that Shogbesan, who is also a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Yola, was abducted on Tuesday night.
It was gathered that he was kidnapped around the university in Girei, headquarters of Girei Local Government Area.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, said the professor was seized as he was returning home from office between 8 and 9 pm on Tuesday.
Earlier on the same Tuesday, December 17, five members of a family had been kidnapped in Ganye, headquarters of Ganye Local Government Area.
With specific reference to MAUTECH, Prof Felix Ilesanmi of Department of Urban and Regional Planning, was kidnapped last month, November 15.
Earlier, on September 30, Professor Adamu Zata of Soil Science had suffered same fate.
