Hon. Yakubu, in a message of goodwill message to the Muslim faithful, expressed the hope that through the intercessory commitment of all Muslims at the moment, all the ills and negative occurrences that the world has suffered in recent times will surely give way to a period of global joy and prosperity .
The Gombi/ Hong Rep also used the occasion to call on all Nigerian Muslims to commit themselves totally to the vitues of love and sacrifice by sharing whatever they have with neighbours and the vulnerable ones among us, stressing that it is only by so doing that the essence of the celebration will be deeply realised .
He appealed to all those celebrating the period not to lose sight of the reality of the COVID 19 pandemic and go behaving as though the virus was no longer with us, but to be wary of all the guidelines and directives of Government and our healthcare stakeholders that are aimed at curtailing the spread of the disease.
