NYO reinstate members of her executive
The Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO) on the 29th of August 2020 at her national executive meeting in Lagos reinstated her executive members from the national, zonal and state levels.
President Abdullahi A. Wali, in a statement, urged the incumbent executives to heartily imbibe the process of democratic and good governance – following the footsteps of great personalities like Dr Rotimi Ogunlana who is the chairman of the Board of Trustee (BoT) of the organization. He hailed Dr Ogunlana for availing himself at the meeting to advice the incoming executives in spite of his busy schedule. President Wali also appreciated the Lagos State commissioner of police Kayode Odumosu for making available security agents for the organization to have a peaceful and successful meeting.
In recognizing the activities of members of the executive of the NYO, he commended the South East Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Okorie C. Okorie; the North Central Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Augustine Akubo and other zonal coordinators.
The NYO National Secretary General, Comrade Duke Alamboye K. mentioned the achievements of the NYO president and hailed him for his wisdom and expertise in moving Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO) forward. In a statement on Saturday, the NSG of NYO said president Wali has created Nigeria Youth Organization office in the heart of Maitama Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He has successfully subsidized the NYO CAC registration and has also created social media handles of the organization.
In the course of the meeting, Comrade. K equally stated that there must be advisory council in each zone of the organization with members from each state under the zone. This is in order to have a fair and quality governance across all states of the organization. He advised the state chairmen to create cordial relationship with their state governor, commissioner of youth and security agencies in their state in order to have a free course of operation.
