Custom Boss has charged newly promoted officers on recommitment for better service delivery

The Controller General of Customs (CGC), Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd), has charged the newly promoted officers to see their elevations as a call to higher duties.
The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) has earlier confirmed the appointments of four (4) members of NCS management and approved the promotion of 1,997 Senior Officers to various ranks during its first meeting held on Thursday, 10th May, 2018.
The meeting which was presided over by the Hon. Minister of Finance and Chairman, Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB), Mrs Kemi Adeosun, considered the yardsticks for the promotion, which includes Cumulative Scores of Annual Evaluation, Written Examination, Oral Interview, Seniority and Availability of Vacancies, approved those most eligible for the promotion which has 1st January, 2017 as the effective date.
While decorating the members of Management, the CG charged the officers to recommit themselves to the course of service delivery and build on the gains of the on-going reforms in the Service.
The promoted officers are:
DCG, Talatu Isa Mairo ( Tariff and Trade), ACG, David Elijah Chikan (HRD), ACG, Ibrahim Yakubu Maikarfi (FATS) and ACG, Ali Bukar Amajam ( E, I & I).
