Hon. Buba says APC Open to New Members
Ahead of registration for both new members and renewal for others in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Member representing Gombi/ Hong Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Buba Yakub, says the party is big enough and open- armed to contain all Nigerians from diverse backgrounds and political persuasions seeking to join its folds.
The lawmaker, who spoke to newsmen Wednesday at his National Assembly office after a virtual meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari and other members of the National Executive Committee ( NEC) of the ruling APC, commended the leadership of the Party for creating the enabling environment for the harmonious relationship and robust exchange of ideas that exist in the party.
While congratulating all new members, who have decided to pitch tent with the APC in both Adamawa State and across the country, Chairman, House Committee on Foreign Affairs, used the opportunity to welcome everyone to what he called the ” Great APC Family” and urged all to feel at home where they rightly belong.
Rt. Hon. Buba called on all party faithful across the country to mobilize fully for the soon- to- commence Party membership registration exercise and to ensure that all differences and warring factions that may exist anywhere in the partyarty are encouraged to close ranks.
He stressed that important thing was for the party to keep winning elections and not who is at the helm of its affairs, since wherever the Party wins, all members stand as utmost beneficiaries in the end.
The NEC Meeting took various decisions on the resolution to dissolve the Executives of the party at all levels. The erstwhile Executives were also reappointed as Caretaker Committees with a tenure of six months that will lapse on June 30 next year.
