Hon. Laori calls for construction of blocks of classroom and perimeter fence for schools in Adamawa
Rt. Hon. Kwamoti B Laori, Member representing Numan/Demsa/ Lamurde in the National Assembly has called on the Federal Government to construct of additional blocks of classrooms and perimeter fence in some schools across his constituency in order to ensure a conducive environment for learning.
Hon. Laori made the call when he visited Dr. Salihi Ateequ, the Executive Chairman, Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board Yola.
While commending the effort of the Board in transforming basic education sector across Adamawa State, Hon. Laori drew the attention of the board to Government Day Secondary School, Ngbalang in Numan where students and pupils are exposed to attacks and distractions due to lack of perimeter fence.
He also appealed for intervention in the school in order to address the combined challenges of overcrowding and insecurity which are inimical to conducive environments for learning.
With the alarming spread of Covid 19 Pandemic, the Member stressed the need to prevent overcrowding at all cost with a view to reducing physical contact.
Dr. Ateequ thanked the lawmaker for the visit and commendation, assured that the Board will ensure that Fresh Air blows across every nook and cranny of the State.
