MOSES ADIE vs STAT OIL (EQUINOR OIL AND GAS): Agony before NASS
Reference outstanding issues of wrongful dismissal and threat to life stat oil as petitioned by Moses Adie through the speaker, House of representative of the National Assembly on an unending case, which went through the Speaker, Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Zone 2 Police Headquarters, Laos, Civil Liberty Organization (CLO), Norwegian Embassy, Human Right Commission and later taken before Justice A.A. Oyebanji of Lagos Judicial Commission of Ogbechere High Court, Lagos. Case that was later withdrawn for peaceful resolution/settlement.
This case further went through Comrade Adedeji Akintunde of Committee for Defence of Human Right (CDHR) and National Assembly. Recall that, this unending abuse also went through Verbatim News Magazine, This Day Sunday Newspaper of April 5, 2015 captured on page 23. Fact Point Magazine of April 2015; Vol.3 No 12/Page 26 and 27, Telegraph Newspaper’s Story, took its title “Unending Protest by Ex-Militants” page 34, Published on March 01, 2015 and was also covered by the Basic Truth News Magazine Page 18, Vol. 6, of February 2019.
Adie! whose long agony is seeking intervention, has been arrogantly abused by the impunity of Stat-Oil now changed to Equinor Oil and Gas. Stat-Oil, resides at No. 1A Bourdillon Road, Eti-Osa, Ikoyi, Lagos. It is worrisome to recall that Adie is one Nigerian Worker crying for justice in his father land over an overbearing foreign organization in the habit of oppressing Nigerian with inhuman treatment, torture and traumatization with illegality and impunity by people/organization who indeed, show that they are above the law of Nigeria, yet operates in Nigeria.
The apparent abuses of these arrogant justification by stat Oil (Equinor Oil) is evident by the leter of the House resolution, reference no. Nass/CAN/105/Vol. 25/242 of 26th June, 2019 was forwarded to the National Assembly through the secretary to the government of the federation accordingly dispatched to the Organization, (Stat-Oil), urging the Managing Director of Stat Oil Ltd, to follow due process and settle the unjust appointment termination and payment of entitlements and benefits to the complainant, this was bluntly jettison by the company despite the secretary (SGF) and the National Assembly, seeking compliance. This Letter to the Stat Oil Ltd was dispatched on the 24th December, 2019 , that the organization refused to comply, is a million Naira Question seeking answers.
It is highly regrettably, noting that this issue or matter has been dragging for 21 years while, Moses cried back for over 2 years ago of the recent no compliance, expected, arising from non-compliance of the House/SGF intervention where Moses expected respite. It is also regrettable that the above organization, fragrantly abused the invitation to appear before the committee on the petition for redress or investigation, billed to take place on the 25th of May 2021, 2pm at the National Assembly.
It is also worrisome that the company has exhibited a proof, that they cannot be called to order and have no little respect or integrity to the Lawmakers and the Federal Government of Nigeria.
