Nigeria, Bulgaria strengthen diplomatic relations
Even as major countries of the world are struggling and clamouring for better business deals, Nigeria and Bulgaria have expressed commitment to strengthen economic as well as political cooperation.
This is as members of the two countries have resolved to strengthen their Parliamentary Friendship for the purpose of exploring and expanding bilateral cooperation in key areas such as agriculture, health among others.
Speaking at the farewell Meeting on Wednesday in Abuja, the Chairman of the House Committee on Nigeria, Bulgaria Parliamentary Frienship Group Hon.Munachim Alozie and the Bulgaria Ambassador to Nigeria Yanko Yordanov pledged strict commitment to ensuring absolute and effective, efficient Business Cooperation among the two countries.
Earlier in his welcome address, the lawmaker informed that the Nigeria-Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group ‘ll be embarking on a bilateral visit to Bulgaria to further strengthen ties in trade, investment, agriculture, health and others.
According to him: ” the years of service of the Bulgarian diplomat to Nigeria had been very impactful and the parliament in Nigeria is determined to explore and expand the partnership with Bulgaria in achieving greater heights for the citizens.
Also speaking during the farewell meeting was Amb Lorenzo Onwukwem, a very distinguished Sustainable Development Goal,SDG, Ambassador who doubles as the Group Managing Director of Prime Court Group.
It was gathered that Amb Onwukwem has been a prominent guest at the Nigeria-Bulgaria bilateral relations for years.
In his address, Amb Onwukwem emphasized significant potential between Nigeria and Bulgaria initiative adding that the project would play a crucial role in fostering stronger strategic ties for global business development.
On his own part the Bulgarian envoy, Yordanov said that the Nigeria-Bulgaria Business Cooperation had provided the basis further cooperation and partnership for citizens of the two countries.
He further noted that several bilateral agreements, state visits, agricultural projects and other engagements had strengthened trade relations among the two countries.
He pointed out that Nigeria is not just the giant of Africa but is a leading nation in Africa in terms of resources, culture and economic power.
