NSCDC deploys 4, 000 personnel for the yuletide season
With a view to ensuring a hitch free Christmas celebrations, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, FCT Command has deployed 4,000 personnel across the FCT and its environs to maintain peace and order before, during and after the yuletide season.
The Commandant of NSCDC, FCT Command, CC Mathias E. Ohiemi said, with the current unrest across the country, the Corps is not leaving any stone on turn to ensure that the security of lives and government critical assets are not jeopardized.
A statement signed by the Head Public Relations Unit, Assistant Commandant David Akinbuni, has accordingly called on residents of the F CT to go about their activities without fear and ensure that they stay safe complying with all COVID l9 protocols to ensure that the number of COVID 19 cases do not surge after the Christmas celebrations.
Commandant Mathias E. Ohiemi, however warns that, any criminal minded individual who will want to cause mayhem or use the festive season to vandalize any government property should desist from doing such, as officers and men of the NSCDC are on 24/7 surveillance, and any culprit(s) apprehended will face the full wrath of the Law.
He hereby wishes all the Christian faithful a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year in advance.
