Say no money elections, Sen. Tofowomo urges
Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Nicholas Tofowomo has urged Nigerians to shun money elections, and identify people that can add value to the system in order to move the country forward.
Tofowomo who was speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, stated that taking money during election is not only ruining individuals but the country at large.
“The electorate should open their eyes and vote for people that would move this country forward. Taking money during election is ruining the country.
On the economy, he called for agricultural revolution in order to ensure adequate food supply in the nation.
He is also of the opinion that Universities of Agriculture in all the senatorial districts would create room for cattle farm, in order to get cattle out of the streets.
He also mentioned that the universities would help to put technology in place and come up with brilliant idea that would ensure establishment of cattle farms in strategic places.
According to him “in America there are more than 7000 cattle farms.
On the budget, the Ondo lawmaker mentioned that the 2022 budget isbeing scrutinized in order to reflect the desires of the masses.
