Smart to Abaribe: you can’t redicule my governor and get away with it
Senator Smart Adeyemi (APC, Kogi West), Tuesday, fulminated against the Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe (Abia South) during the plenary.
Sen. Smart also vowed never to apologise to governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State over his comments during Senate pleneray, describing Governor Ikpeazu as champagne drunkard.
He also stated that Senator Aberibe cannot redicule his governor and get away with it.
Senator Adeyemi in an interview with journalists over a social media post allegedly linked to the Minority Leader, Senator Abaribe in a verbal attacks on Governors Yahaya Bello from Kogi State, opined that Senator Abaribe’s alleged remark had ignited an unquenchable fire until Senator Abaribe tenders public apology to governor Bello.
According to Senator Adeyemi, some states have highly intelligent people, highly educated people and very enterprising people but unlike Abia State where they are governed by drunkards.
Senator Adeyemi accused Senator Abaribe as shameful leader to lgbos, saying when there is critical issues concerning the lgbos, he would look the other side and always compromised the South East interest.

Senator Adeyemi who showed to many Senators a video clip of Senator Abaribe’s alleged insults on governor Bello, said he will never apologise to Ikpeazu until Senator Abaribe tenders public apology to governor Bello.
However, Senator Abaribe has faulted the video clip being circulated by Adeyemi.
He said the video clip was taken six years ago when a Senator complained to the Senate about alleged attack by thugs on him and his constituents.
“We are bordered by nine states, but we had an experience of the unfortunate incidents that are happening in neighbouring states.
“Some governors are committed to the protection of their people. In my state, the governor awarded contracts for the renovation of schools and provides security services to them.
“In some states where we have highly intelligent people, highly educated people, very enterprising people, like Abia, they are governed by drunkards. The governor of Abia is a champagne drinking man. Abia people are impoverished more than ever before. Abia people are unfortunate” he stated.
