We Will Not Allow Ourselves To Be Blackmailed -JOHESU Chair
The chairman of the Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU), Biobelemoye Josiah has said that the union will oppose that will undermind the progress of Nigerians.
Speaking with our Reporter during the 40th anniversary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), held recently in Abuja, Josiah said that the union will not bow to any form of blackmail from the Ministry of Health.
According to him, Ministry of Health is a constant and celebrated law breaker and any time we resort to its usual characteristics of breaking the law measures and blackmailing the union, we will come out to tell Nigerians that we will never allow ourselves to be blackmailed.
He added that “our love for Nigeria is paramount and that has always advised our decisions to suspend action after the intervention of the court and well meaning Nigerians”.
“The labour movement is no longer a behind the scenes movement. We stand for the voiceless even when most of the political class members were going into hiding, we stood our ground because keeping Nigerians one and making Nigeria to progress is our priority”, He stated.
He congratulated the leadership of the NURTW on their 40 years anniversary adding that the occasion is to show that the union has to stay.
