Governor, aspirants flee as gunmen invade venue of Kogi PDP primary

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State and the thirteen aspirants flee as gunmen invaded the venue of the Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party primary election.
The election ended abruptly in the early hours of Wednesday when gunmen invaded the venue, Lokoja Confluence Stadium.
According to report, the voting had ended and sorting of votes were going on when the gunmen came to the venue at about 1:45a.m. and started shooting from different directions.
However, votes in eight out of the 10 ballot balloxes had already been sorted before the disruption by the gunmen.
Delegates and others also for safety while the number of casualty was yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
