Nigerian siblings make history with first-class honours at home and abroad
In an inspiring display of academic excellence, Nigerian siblings Solace Olanma Okezie-Okafor and Moses Chibuikem Okezie-Okafor are setting a new standard for achievement.
Solace recently graduated with First-Class Honours in Microbiology from Nile University of Nigeria, topping her faculty and earning multiple awards. Just months later, her younger brother Moses followed suit, securing a First-Class B.Sc. in Information Technology from Middlesex University in Dubai.
Moses, 19, received his degree in a prestigious ceremony at the Atlantis The Palm Resort in Dubai. His achievement marks not only a personal triumph but also the continuation of a family legacy built on discipline, intellectual rigor, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Their parents, Honourable Barr. Moses Okezie-Okafor, Director-General of Research and Development in Kogi State, and Ekenma Okezie-Okafor, PhD, a senior prosecutor with the Federal Government of Nigeria, expressed profound pride in their children’s accomplishments, attributing their success to divine grace.
“We try to model excellence for our children through our work and studies, instilling a culture of hard work.
“But it takes God’s blessing for hard work to yield the desired fruits. To God be the glory,” said Barr. Moses Okezie-Okafor, praying for even greater achievements in the future.
Achieving a First-Class degree in any field is a remarkable accomplishment, demonstrating not only academic brilliance but also resilience, mastery, and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
The Okezie-Okafor siblings’ achievements are a testament to the power of dedication and talent, reinforcing the message that, with the right nurturing, young Nigerians can succeed on the global stage.
As they look to the future, Solace and Moses are poised for even greater success, with their stellar academic track record marking just the beginning of their journey.
